Should Dundee United have made an official complaint to the Scottish Football Association?

Will this open the floodgates to similar complaints? For example, Rangers might have complained over Scott MacDonald's goal being allowed, St. Mirren might have complained over the Nakamura free kick or Aberdeen over the Zander Diamond goal which was disallowed.

Is it reasonable to expect referees to do their job in this kind of environment?|||I think united are correct to complain. You would forgive mccurry for missing one blatant incident but to miss 3 possibly 4 is ridiculous and clearly he was too scared to do anything and not for the first time reffing a rangers game. Nothing will happen with united's complaint as Gordon smith has already whitewashed it. Thought smith would be a good chief executive but he has been a fecking joke. I agree Celtic have had some doubious descision but the Aberdeen one I'm going to disagree with. The ref blew the whistle before diamond scored so obviously everyone stopped. Secondly samaras had 2 goals disallowed in that game with at least 1 being miles onside. When Celtic won 5-1 at pittodrie, Jvoh was hauled down for a stonewall penalty and also samaras brought down when clean through yet defender only booked. Clear case of ref being sympathetic.|||Would it make a difference, they sit in Glasgow.|||No they shouldn't.

Every team has had decisions that have gone against them this season and generally on more than one occassion but you don't see them throwing their dummy out of the pram and behaving like a 2 year old having a temper tantrum.I bet they wouldn't have complained if he had made mistakes in their favour though.

Referees make mistakes some good some bad but if they didn't what would we have to complain about.|||Yes they should it's been going on for too long now it's time attention was drawn to it from all the people involved in Scottish football. I agree with what your saying in that refs have a difficult enough job to do without this being a factor and i respect that however, Celtic and Rangers are are dominant enough in the spl without needing the help of refs that cant handle the pressure and bottle decisions because of fans and media.

If they decisions had went the other way imagine the furor in the press and media the guy's life wouldn't be worth living! In a way change would benefit everyone! the old firm could believe they won the league by merit and we could all play on a level playing field!

Short term pain for long term gain - Even some old firm fans would admit it going on all too often|||OK things didn't go according to plan..but every team must have grievances about decisions not going their way..where would it all end|||If that is the case then celtic would be deducted at least 9 points lol.

they cant don't anything about it now but they should look at the standard of refereeing for the future
