Why is soccer called Association football? I mean, all sports have some association or the other....|||there used to be two sets of rules for soccer one called association rules the other called rugger rules. over time the two sets of rules changed into two completely different games and association just stuck w/ soccer since it was what the rules were called. (btw rugger rules turned into rugby :))
