I use balled-up socks.
They are great for dribbling and low-drives, but terrible on bending free kicks.
Remember -- It is okay if you break a Lamp...

It's ironic I haven't played proper football for years...But i love playing indoors, with like you said socks, bottles, anything really...and I usually break something when i play.|||I'm pretty sure you'll only find soccer balls in Wisconsin.|||A tennis ball. You can blast them at the wall or sofa and they don't bounce up in the air (if you know what you're doing that is).
I've had a few injuries from playing indoors, it's alright if you've got the space for it though.
