Is their a difference between a Football Association (FA) and a Football Federation (FF)?

The English started it all with the FA. The French not known for accepting anything English chose to create the French Football Federation (FFF), while most countries have their own FA (German FA etc). Is their any difference between having an FA or an FF other than the name?|||There is no difference between an FA and an FF.
