I am a relatively new fan for football, and I ran into the term for the first time in my ESPN RSS feed- specifically the Primera Liga game between Valencia and Betis. The story at http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=soccer%26amp;id=4089833
Could a more experienced fan explain what made Villa's goals in that game 'clinical double'?|||Clinical in football term means to be precise and lethal infront of the goal. It simply means Villa's finishing was sharp and precise.
Clinical double simply means his two goals for taken very well.
